Where can I view the nameservers of a domain?

If you manage your domain name with uHostAfrica (Pvt) Ltd and need to check or update its nameservers, you can easily do so through your client area. Just follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your account at my.uhost.africa.

  2. Navigate to Domains in the top menu bar and select My Domains.

  3. Locate the domain you want to check, click the three dots (or Manage button) next to it, and select Manage Domain.

  4. On the left-hand sidebar, click on Nameservers.

  5. Here, you can view your current settings or select "Use custom nameservers" to edit and update them.

  6. Click Change Nameservers to save your updates.

💡 Please note: Nameserver changes usually take between 6 to 8 hours to propagate across the internet, but in some cases, it can take up to 24 hours to fully resolve.

Managing Your DNS Records

If you would like to manage individual DNS records (like A, CNAME, or MX records) directly within your client area, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Have an active hosting package with us.

  • Add the DNS Management addon to your domain for $15/year.

Once active, this addon grants you full control to manage and update your own DNS zone files at any time.
